Career

Built in 1910 to serve on the tram network in the West Flanders region. Also used in and around the Yser front during WWI. Further in use as a freight wagon on the Knokke - De Panne coastal tram line until the cessation of freight transport in 1952. Afterwards remained in service as a work wagon for the transport of sand, gravel and sleepers. Out of service in 1980 and saved from demolition thanks to a few volunteers from TTO-Noordzee vzw.


Restoration

In 1983 restored in grey colour by volunteers of TTO-Noordzee vzw, between 2015 and 2018 completely restored in brick red on the occasion of the commemoration around 100 years of WWI. The freight wagon was also fitted with spare wheels in 2018 so that it is roadworthy again. This restoration was also carried out by volunteers of TTO-Noordzee vzw.
